Raymond Lams successful album launch has turn gold. A celebration party was held specially for his achievement by is record company last night. TVB executives Miss Rain, Lok Yi-ling, RTHK and Commercial Radio also were represented. At the banquet Raymond Lam was presented with the "2007 Rookie of the highest record sales" album and plaque.
Commenting on the launch and the sales success, Raymond commented the timing was just right. As a matter of fact, he thought of recording an album when he first entered the entertainment circle 10 years ago. As the years passed, he did not emphasis and stressed that a lot of opportunities were lost.
With the success of his role in 'Heart of Greed' being applauded by many in the audience coupled with the album launch, the timing was just good. In his effort to promote and gain acceptance as a singer, he also accepted jobs outside of TVB and intend to focus on music in the coming future. He will also be filming for 'Heart of Greed II' next year February.
Although Raymond is also surprised with the album sales reaching more than twenty thousand copies,
he is unsure when he can record his second album. He hope to bring a different style to his next album as he prefers Rap and pop music.
When commented by the reporter that his chance for the 'Newcomer Awards' will now be greater since Gold Label will not attending the Metro's Music Award Ceremony; Raymond replied that there will be other nominees and that he doesn't place too much emphasis on awards. To him, the most important thing is to work hard and leave the award to fate
